Job Description Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum is looking to hire Horticulture Assistants to work with our Horticulture Team in our conservatory and greenhouses on the care of our plant collections; in the display gardens, in support of teaching, research, public outreach, and conservation goals. Job duties may include: watering, plant propagation and cleaning in our conservatory, greenhouses and work areas, and weeding, removing invasive species, and planting, pruning, mulching and other tasks in outdoor collections and display gardens. Work is performed inside and outside during a wide range of weather and environmental conditions. We are looking for students who can work Fall and Winter terms for at least 4 hours per week. |
