Job Description

U-M IOE Content Creator and Communications Assistant

Duties include:

Social media (50%)

  • Create and post engaging content for the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering’s (IOE) Instagram account.

  • Use Adobe Express or other design software to create social media images or videos. 

Digital marketing (45%)

  • Collect and add events to the department Happening @ Michigan webpage.

  • Create and send weekly events emails to all IOE students, staff and faculty.

Other (5%)

  • Assist with other marketing/communication jobs as directed.

Job Requirements

Required qualifications

  • Communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related experience (can include current studies and coursework)

  • Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Editing and proofreading skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines

Desired qualifications

  • Experience with AP style

  • Photography and videography experience
