LEAPS Writing and Communication Fellow (W+C Fellow)

Applicants must be 2nd year LEAPS students. Writing and Communication Fellows will work as a team with Marsal Family School of Education LEAPS faculty to create supports for 1st year Writing and Communication for LEAPS. Fellows will be classisfied as Grader 1 temporary student employees. Fellows will work directly with a group of 1st year LEAPS students to provide oral and written feedback on their writing and communication for LEAPS assignments. The team will collaboratively develop and refine approaches to peer response and writing labs. The position requires 3-5 hours/week throughout Fall and Winter terms; it pays $17/hour. 

W+C Fellows must be 2nd year U-M Marsal Family School of Education LEAPS students in good standing. They must have interest in and facility with a variety of forms of writing and communication. They need to work well in a team, show initiative, and be able to manage their work independently. They must be reliable and flexible.
