Online/Hybrid Student Services Fellow
Fall 25 Student Fellowship Program

Location: 317 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (75% in-person fellowship experience)

Pay Rate: Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr

Job Duration: 10 -15 hours/week for fall semester, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a graduate student to research the online/hybrid graduate learning experience, specifically where it overlaps with residential students and how it is unique to online. This fellow will research best practices around online student service programs including the use of AI technologies, onboarding, and learning resources. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Research and benchmark AI Tools and technologies in the online student service space 

  • Co-create an Online/Hybrid Student Services presentation to showcase as at Student Service Network

  • Review and iterate the online onboarding canvas template and suggest changes

  • Research and suggest key resources for students that can help them be successful as online degree learners

  • Assist in developing an online/hybrid program benchmarking document 

  • Present on findings to the Program Management Team.

Job Requirements

Student Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Michigan. 

  • Invested interest in student online/hybrid experience at U-M. 

  • Effective communication skills

  • Can work independently and is self-motivated

  • Has been engaged in a  U-M co-curricular student experience

  • Has engaged in online learning or online experiences 

  • Has experience working on teams and collaborating with others

Hourly Rate $17.00/hour to $23.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
Time Frame Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer
Start Date Monday, September 22, 2025
End Date At the end of the fall term, with possibility of a fellowship extension
