Job Description

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (EVPCFO) at the University of Michigan is looking to hire a student assistant to support communications needs within the Business and Finance (B&F) organization. The person in this role will help update and administer a dynamic meeting schedule and professional development program for communications colleagues within B&F. This person may also draft messages, update communications tracking and other documents,  make updates to the B&F website, and perform other communications-related duties. This role will support the Director of Executive Communications within the Office of the EVPCFO. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, a proven ability to work with people, show strong initiative, and have excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Gain experience working in higher education and learn about the fields of communications, marketing, and executive leadership and strategy.
  • Gain experience working within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and gain exposure to executive-level processes that span the entire institution.

  • Willingness to be flexible about tasks and assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google workspace.
