Required Qualifications: U-M PhD student or Master’s degree student in good standing. Also open to upper level undergraduate students. Position-Specific Desired Qualifications: A strong interest in International Studies, specifically India. Also, a strong interest in promoting knowledge through the creation of electronic finding aids. In general, the candidate should have: Interest in libraries Interest in organizing information and promoting its use Interest in learning how to create a Reference Guide (LibGuide) Ability to synthesize a lot of information into a format that will inform and assist users, not only from the university community but also more broadly
Expectations: Adhere to agreed-upon schedule and project deadlines, communicating any challenges or barriers to the mentors. Periodically attend Engagement Fellow training sessions and cohort meetings. Publicly share the project process and results with the library community near the end of the academic year.
