Job Description

 The role will support the staff of the Tissue and Molecular Pathology (TMP) laboratory, assisting in our daily operations of providing basic histological services to various research laboratories across the University.  Tasks include tissue preparation and embedding, microtomy, performing basic special stains and immunohistochemistry and digital slide scanning.  
Educational Value

Students will gain experience in performing a wide variety of basic histological techniques including microtomy, H&E staining, immunohistochemistry and digital slide imagery.  These skills and techniques are standard in research laboratories and are applicable to a wide range of research projects.

Job Requirements

No prior experience is necessary, however, we seek a highly motivated individual who will be comfortable learning and following our standard operating protocols.
Hourly Rate $16.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
