Social Media Manager, Detroit Neighborhood Entrepreneurs Project The Detroit Neighborhood Entrepreneurs Project (DNEP), based in the Ross School of Business, connects small businesses in Detroit with experienced University of Michigan faculty staff, and students, providing practical, one-on-one support to help Detroit business owners grow their ventures. DNEP does this through four programs: an Accounting program, Community Tech Consulting program, Motor City Multipliers and Impact Studio for Local Businesses. DNEP is seeking a social media manager to work directly with DNEP and Business+Impact staff to create content and post it to DNEP’s Instagram and LinkedIn accounts in alignment with DNEP’s brand and messaging. This student will: - Implement DNEP’s social media calendar into SproutSocial
- Collaborate with staff and students to develop content ideas that would amplify DNEP’s messaging
- Edit photos and videos
- Work with the rest of the communications team for other related duties as assigned
Hours: 6-8 hours/week (a fixed schedule will be set around your class schedule; availability on Friday mornings is a plus) Duration: Academic year with option of continuing in summer (flexible to work around vacations/off days; no work during academic breaks or exams; willing to negotiate a later start if needed).
