The University of Michigan’s Center for Global Health Equity was founded in 2019 by a catalytic gift from Dr. Tadataka and Leslie Yamada, and was generously matched by the University. The Center brings together faculty from across the U-M community, leveraging expertise from multiple disciplines in pursuit of novel solutions to global health challenges that can positively impact individuals in low-income settings. The Center is seeking a Research Assistant for Fall 2025 (open to being extended) to support the CGHE’s Data Collaborative. Launched in 2024 the CGHE Data Collaborative supports UM faculty and their global partners in the use, acquisition, and application of global health data. The RA will collaborate with the Center’s professional staff to expand the CGHE Data Collaborative archive, with an initial focus on research related to climate, climate data, and climate data services. Research Assistant Responsibilities Collaborating with Center’s professional staff to expand the CGHE Data Collaborative archive, with an initial focus on research related to climate, climate data, and climate data services. Responsibilities include: Researching peer institutions Creating database(s) of existing data on specific global health themes; (i.e. climate data sources) Identifying and cataloging data and data harmonization tools and services (with an initial emphasis on climate tools & services) Drafting content for website and/or archive (i.e. for the data collaborative’s archive) Drafting reports and other project materials Other duties as assigned, based on mutual interests
