The STEP (Supporting Transition and Employment Pathways) Lab at the University of Michigan School of Social Work is dedicated to advancing disability inclusion by ensuring that individuals with disabilities have equitable opportunities to fully participate in every aspect of their life. The lab develops, implements, and evaluates community-based research on job-readiness programs to improve academic, career, employment, mental health, and justice-related outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Our lab also publishes findings in peer-reviewed journals, and engages with educational, vocational, and rehabilitation organizations on local, national, and international levels. We foster a collaborative learning environment where all team members strengthen their expertise through regular team meetings and respectful dialogues. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in REDCap development
- Assist with data collection, including conducting focus groups
- Enter and manage research data using REDCap
- Transcribe interviews and focus group discussions
- Perform qualitative data analysis (coding)
- Coordinate participant compensation and follow-ups
- Assist in the creation of outreach materials (e.g., flyers, reports)
- Develop and schedule social media posts to support outreach efforts
- Organize and maintain contact lists for research participants and partners
- Manage the lab’s mailboxes and assist with communications
- Attend lab meetings and fulfill other research, outreach, and administrative tasks
