Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr

Job Duration: 10 - 15 hours in the fall semester, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who we’re looking for: 

CAI Creative Studios is seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled Studio Production Fellow to join our virtual production team. This role provides an opportunity to build practical skills across both the technical and creative aspects of virtual production. Ideal candidates will have some background in live or recorded production and a strong interest in learning about emerging media technologies, especially LED virtual production.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support live and recorded productions in the studio environment

  • Operate lighting systems, audio consoles, and video switchers

  • Collaborate with the virtual production team to prep, maintain, and calibrate virtual sets and stage equipment (e.g., cameras, lighting rigs, and motion capture systems)

  • Assist in setting up and tearing down the studio before and after production sessions

  • Support the team with technical documentation related to equipment and production workflows

  • Embrace continuous learning and engage with evolving virtual production technologies

Job Requirements

Student Qualifications:

  • Experience with live or recorded production settings

  • Experience with cinema and broadcast cameras or live production equipment (e.g., Red cinema cameras, EOS lighting systems, Panasonic Kairos video switchers, or Yamaha QL1 audio consoles)

  • Proficiency with video production software and production techniques and standards

  • Interest in LED virtual production workflows and motion capturing systems
Hourly Rate $17.00/hour to $23.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
Time Frame Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer
Start Date Monday, October 6, 2025
End Date At the end of the fall term, with possibility of a fellowship extension
