About the Ford School Accessibility Committee The Ford School Accessibility Committee brings together domain experts to identify the school's communication, classroom, and business systems; evaluate their accessibility; remediate issues in existing systems where feasible; develop plans to address inaccessible systems and resources; and facilitate ongoing school-wide communication and training to promote accessibility across all areas of work. Position Overview The Accessibility Committee is hiring a motivated student coordinator to play a key role in organizing and advancing our initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment focused on digital accessibility, with a critical deadline of April 2026 for addressing digital accessibility issues and creating a school-wide plan. Under direct supervision, the student coordinator will provide essential administrative and coordination support. You'll become familiar with the project's scope, objectives, and team roles, enabling you to streamline activities effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented student to contribute to meaningful change while building professional skills in project management and accessibility. Key Responsibilities - Schedule and coordinate meetings, organize materials, and prepare agendas for committee activities.
- Facilitate communication with committee members and school staff on project status and updates.
- Oversee small projects or specific phases of larger initiatives as needed.
- Compile and analyze basic data for reports, newsletters, or presentations—including creating charts, graphs, or tables.
- Manage routine correspondence and inquiries, following established procedures and exercising independent judgment and basic reasoning skills.
