Remote Student Assistant for GSI & IA Teaching Orientations needed to fill one position at U-M Center for Research on Learning and Teaching in Engineering (CRLT-Engin). Primary responsibilities include supporting each semester’s College of Engineering GSI & IA Teaching Orientation by doing such tasks as: Creating & Editing Canvas Course Content: proofreading and making updates to the Canvas course; updating documents in Google Drive; ensuring that documents are digitally accessible; editing videos, captions, and transcripts;
Tracking Course Completion: monitoring completion of Canvas course and marking submissions as complete; using spreadsheets to track GSIs'/IAs' Canvas training completion; tracking GSIs’/IAs’ registration and participation in events & CRLT-Engin services with a spreadsheet;
Communicating With Participants & Stakeholders: communicating course expectations and instructions via email to participants, facilitators, departments, and CRLT-Engin team members; answering questions from stakeholders via email;
Data Analysis & Presentation: CRLT-Engin Community Expectations: receiving assignments and marking them complete via Asana; attending meetings with team members and other CRLT-Engin staff as assigned; answering emails from team members promptly;
…and other tasks as assigned.
This position is remote, and hours are flexible. Starting pay rate is $17.00/hour. The closing date for this posting is 11/2/2025.
