The Health and Retirement Study (HRS), has an immediate need for temporary assistants to perform data entry, coding and routine clerical tasks. The HRS, housed at the Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan, is a major national longitudinal survey on the health and economics of aging and retirement. The duration of this position is flexible. Please indicate in your cover letter your availability for Fall 2025, Winter 2026, as well as your Summer 2026 availability. While all applications are welcome, we will give preference to candidates who are available to work at least half time during the summer of 2026. Successful employees will be invited to work in the 2026-2027 academic year. Successful candidates will assist project staff in qualitative coding/categorizing of open end and comment data collected during the HRS 2024 and 2026 field period. They will assist with data entry for mail surveys and other data processing tasks as needed. Additional duties include Spanish translation, codebook review, data checking and routine clerical tasks. Days and hours of work: Monday – Friday during normal business hours 10-20 hours/week during the academic year 20-40 hours/week over the Spring/Summer Length of assignment: 12 - 18 months |
