Job Description:

The role supports information technology (IT) needs of the MLabs Division of the Pathology Department. Tasks include assisting MLabs IT Analyst and CRM Administrator in providing technical support for hardware and software to internal staff, vendor partners, and clients.   Students will gain experience in Information Technology support and an opportunity to network with Department staff and faculty across the organization.

Under the direction of the University of Michigan Pathology Department Operations Manager, the student will perform duties that will include assisting in hardware and software support for MLabs staff, vendors, and clients, including but not limited to updates, configurations, installations, and troubleshooting.

Job duties include:

Trouble shoot workstation, printer, and network issues. Document and review user feedback and support tickets.

Assist in creating, managing and distributing digital forms and surveys.

Process CRM updates, e.g., fax verification forms, received from clients.

Gather, organize, and document user requirements for new or enhanced business systems and processes.

Support process mapping, workflow diagrams, and the creation or updating of business process documentation.

Aid in data collection, report preparation, and basic data analysis to support decision-making and project deliverables.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the IT Business Analyst or supervisor.
