Walgreen Audition Assistant - Work Study Position 

 

The Walgreen Drama Center is home to the Department of Musical Theatre and the Department of Theatre & Drama. The primary responsibilities for this on-site role include supporting incoming student audition/interview days, supporting logistics for admitted student visits (Campus Days), and providing general office support. Applicants must possess excellent critical thinking and customer service skills. JOB DUTIES: 

  • Coordinate with the Walgreen Office to ensure that audition day monitors have the day’s schedule and needed supplies 
  • Liaise between the Walgreen Office and the audition/interview spaces - Assist with Zoom/sound set up, if needed 
  • Fill in as an audition monitor, if needed 
  • Assist with Campus Day logistics to facilitate admitted students’ itineraries - Assist with office tasks to support the Departments of Musical Theatre and Theatre & Drama 
  • Maintain Walgreen bulletin boards 
  • Complete print/scan jobs for faculty, as needed 
  • Answer the Walgreen office phone and assist walk-in visitors 
  • May assist with other operations needs on a case by case basis based on availability

 

Educational Value

This position will provide practical experience in event coordination, communication, and hospitality. This position will help develop organizational and time management skills by coordinating schedules, assisting faculty, and problem solving "on the spot.

 

Job Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Department of Musical Theatre 
  • We are looking for students who are attentive, responsible, reliable, and willing to jump in and help with the variety of situations that arise in the Walgreen Drama Center.
  • Must be available to work up to 6 hours weekly on Fridays during the Winter 2026 semester from approximately 8:00am – 2:00pm. 
  • Customer service experience is a plus, but not required. 
  • Work study award is required at this time.

 

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
Hours 6.0 hours per week
Time Frame Winter Only
