Job Description

At the Office of New Student Programs, we’re looking for eager students like you to welcome a new class of Wolverines and their family members to our community. Spend your summer in Ann Arbor and walk away with leadership skills, real-world experience for your resume, and new connections. 

As a student or parent orientation leader, you’ll get to:

  • Share your college experiences, be a campus resource for new students, and make a positive impact on the U-M community.
  • Play a key role in facilitating portions of the orientation program, including small groups, campus tours, and large/small scale programs.

Job Requirements

If selected to be an orientation leader, you will be expected to work in Ann Arbor from January to early September.

  • January-April: Paid training and meetings to develop your skills and prepare you for leading students and families during on-campus orientation activities (about three hours per week).
  • June-early September: Facilitate small groups, campus tours, and large/small scale programs throughout orientation (about 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime).
Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
