Job Description

We are looking for a work-study student to contribute to a scientific research project. For this position, tasks will include contributing to a project investigating the role of senescence in neuronal diabetic complications, including brain health. Work will include tissue embedding, sectioning, H&E and microscopy, and immunohistochemistry and fluorescent imaging and MetaMorph analysis. Work will also include running protein assays and performing Western blots and contributing to daily laboratory functions. 

Educational Value

This position will provide an undergraduate student an opportunity to implement basic science analysis skills and contribute to a scientific research project, while also advancing the research efforts of the NeuroNetwork for Emerging Therapies.

Job Requirements

Must be a current undergraduate student at an accredited academic institution.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Basic science research experience is desired.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
Hours 5.0 to 10.0 hours per week
