Location: 317 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (75% in-person fellowship experience)

Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr

Job Duration: 10-15 hours/week for the Winter 2026 semester, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who we’re looking for: 

The Data and Business Intelligence team at the Center for Academic Innovation is looking for a Data Analytics Fellow to assist with various data analytics projects. This role provides a unique opportunity for a student passionate about data management, analysis, and process improvement to gain hands-on experience working with data systems in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Data Management: Perform data cleaning, validation, and manipulation tasks within Salesforce and related systems.
     

  • Process Enhancement: Identify inefficiencies in data workflows and propose or implement solutions for improvement.
     

  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, procedures, and standards.
     

  • Reporting & Visualization: Assist in creating and maintaining dashboards, metrics, and reports to support data-driven insights.
     

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Data & Business Intelligence team as well as cross functional teams to ensure consistent and accurate data across systems.
     

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits and verification to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Job Requirements

Student Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in computer science, data engineering, data curation, data science, informatics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work independently or as part of a rapidly changing, multidisciplinary, multicultural, and collaborative environment.

  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with data tools and languages: Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL, Tableau and Python is a plus.

  • Salesforce experience or interest in learning Salesforce data structures and reporting tools.
Hourly Rate $17.00/hour to $23.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week

End Date At the end of the winter term, with possibility of extending to the spring/summer term
