Location: 317 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (75% in-person fellowship experience)

Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr

Job Duration: 10-12 hours/week for the Winter 2026 semester, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who we’re looking for:
The Marketing and Market Strategy team is looking for a creative, digitally fluent student fellow to contribute to the Center for Academic Innovation and Michigan Online’s social presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Ideal candidates are active on social media, have experience with content creation, understand brand voice, and want to grow real-world experience in marketing and social strategy.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop ideas for, and create, original social content

  • Support campaign execution and community engagement 

  • Write and schedule posts in our social media management platform

  • Assist with multimedia shoots and on-campus content creation

 

The Experience and Skills You’ll Gain: 

  • Hands-on experience with social media strategy and campaign ideation

  • Skills in short-form video production and graphic design

  • Understanding of content planning, branding, and storytelling

  • Experience creating content for a global higher-ed brand

Job Requirements

Student Qualifications:

  • Current U-M Student

  • Passion for social media, content creation, and digital community building

  • Experience using Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn for content creation

  • Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment

 

Hourly Rate $17.00/hour to $23.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 12.0 hours per week
Time Frame Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer
Start Date Monday, January 19, 2026
End Date At the end of the winter term, with possibility of extending to the spring/summer term
