Job Summary

As the AfroUrbanism administrative assistant for URP 603 - Urban and Regional Planning Capstone Studio, you will serve as the organizational and logistical backbone for this collaborative learning experience. This role supports the development and execution of the course, ensuring a smooth and impactful process for both students and the partnering organization. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Schedule the day/time of feedback sessions between students and community client representatives to refine project outcomes.

  • Schedule and coordinate guest speakers, site visits, and workshops relevant to the capstone project.

  • Arrange meeting spaces, virtual platforms, or any necessary tools for seamless class operations.

  • Help the instructor determine if students have met deadlines and submitted deliverables.

  • Prepare and disseminate meeting notes, progress reports, and updates to all stakeholders. 

  • Coordinate the date/time of a final presentation or showcase event for the community client Master Plan.

 

Additional Information

Appointment Period: Winter 2026 semester

Estimated Effort: 10-15 hours per week

Compensation: $15-$20/hr
