Seeking undergraduate student for Peer Instructor for Honors 212: “Ocean's 26: Build Models That Save Lives and Protect Coasts” (NS, QR1) taught by Professor Brian Arbic.

Students will gain experience teaching coding. Skills learned from the position are useful when applying for summer internships and post-graduate opportunities.

Job Requirements

Undergraduate student only

Required qualifications: experience with programming such as Python and github.

Desired qualifications: experience mentoring or tutoring students, helping others learn coding and build confidence in programming

Required time commitment: attending the course, which meets MW (Lec) 2:30-4:00PM and F (dis) 2:00-3:00PM. 

 

Strongly desired: Holding some office hours on a weekly basis is also desired; please identify your availability for this portion of the peer instructor role.

Hourly Rate $20.00/hour
