Job Description

The Economic Growth Institute at the University of Michigan is seeking a talented undergraduate or graduate student to assist with designing and implementing effective marketing plans and materials for launching new programs.

This position works with EGI Project Managers and will be responsible for assisting with various day-to-day program activities including:

  •             Developing and designing marketing plans for launching new programs.
  •             Planning and implementing the marketing strategy.
  •            Supporting Project Managers on various program activities.
  •             Developing and designing marketing outreach materials related to all areas of the project.
Educational Value

Students will gain experience in strategic marketing planning, content design, audience outreach, and program implementation within the context of economic development.

Job Requirements

Applicants should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and possess experience in marketing and/or graphic design. Knowledge of and specific experience using some of the following software and programs is also a plus: Canva, Google Suite, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Applicants are expected to be able to work independently and as a team, be creative and resourceful, and utilize various marketing platforms to reach the target audience. Students wishing to work on Economic Growth Institute projects should exhibit excellent critical thinking skills, high levels of self-motivation, excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.

The majority of the work for this position can be managed remotely.  Possible opportunity for continued work in the Spring/Summer.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour to $18.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
