Student Research Assistant: Interactive AI Resource Map The Michigan Institute for Data and AI in Society (MIDAS) is seeking a motivated student to support the development of an interactive campus-wide map of AI institutes, services, and research support units at the University of Michigan. The role involves gathering information about departments and programs that offer AI-related resources, building a structured database of these units, and maintaining the database as new information becomes available. The student will then use this dataset to create an interactive map that helps researchers and faculty identify relevant AI services across campus. The student will work under the supervision of Nathan Fox Key Responsibilities Identify and collate information on AI institutes, centers, programs, and service units across U-M. Build and maintain a clean, well-structured database of these resources. Track updates, new initiatives, and changes to existing AI services. Develop an interactive campus resource map using the compiled database. Work with MIDAS staff to ensure accuracy and alignment with project needs. |
