The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan is seeking an Online Learning Assistant. The Online Learning Assistant will help to ensure a smooth and engaging online learning experience for students and faculty. This role provides technical support, facilitates online tools, and assists with troubleshooting and communication related to courses for the Ford School's new online Masters of Public Affairs program that is set to launch in January 2026 Key Responsibilites - Proide technical support and guidance for online courses. Winter 2026 hours include Tuesdays 8-10pm and Thursdays 7-9pm, with additional evening or flexible hours scheduled as needed
- Assist with online learning platforms (Canvas, Zoom), with virtual tools, and course activities
- Respond timely to student or faculty inquiries via chat and email
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate more complex problems to IT
- Assist in maintaining a professional and supportive online learning environment
