Job Description

-Breeding, genotyping, and management of the mouse colony

-Glassware cleaning and sterilization
-Accurate record keeping

-Preparation of solutions and media
-Tissue culturing

-Harvesting of bone marrow, spleen, lymph nodes from normal or leukemic mice for molecular and cellular analyses

-Flow cytometry

-Recombinant DNA cloning
Educational Value

-Weekly meetings with PI to review progress, future directions, career development

-Mini-lectures on selected topics on normal and malignant development of blood cells

-Training for students wishing to pursue medical school or graduate school in biomedical science

-Poster presentations at intramural and extramural conferences

-Biweekly lab journal club

-Biweekly lab meetings

-Departmental seminars
Job Requirements

High school diploma

Willing to work with healthy and leukemic mice
Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
Hours 8.0 to 12.0 hours per week
Time Frame Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer
Start Date 01/05/2026 (flexible)
End Date project complete (up to 2030)
