The University of Michigan’s Initiative on Jewish Life and Antisemitism is committed to fostering an inclusive campus environment where all members of the community can study, work, engage, and thrive. Specifically, the Initiative is dedicated to reducing bias and promoting tolerance to ensure that Jewish students, faculty, and staff, regardless of academic path or extracurricular activities, unwavering support and respect. This university-wide effort brings together faculty, staff, students, and community partners with deep expertise in Jewish history, culture, and contemporary experiences in higher education. As part of U-M’s broader strategy to combat antisemitism and strengthen religious inclusion, the Initiative will collaborate closely with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, Jewish Communal Leadership Program (JCLP), the U-M Office for Spiritual, Religious, and Secular Life and other ongoing efforts outlined in the program and institution's strategic vision. Through their participation in this learning experience, this student will: - Gain project management and organizational leadership experience
- Engage in institutional change management processes
- Develop facilitation skills for interfaith and cross-cultural communication
- Develop proficiency in understanding diversity of Jewish life on campus/antisemitism and its manifestations today to improve campus experiences
