Job Description

The Jewish Life and Antisemitism Initiative Fellow will provide support for the development of an institutional strategy aimed at improving campus climate for religiously diverse students. This position will play a foundational role in building the initiative’s strategic framework by curating national best practices, researching and demonstrating effective engagement and dialogue tools, and supporting data assessment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support for initiative goals and team operations

  • Collect, synthesize, and organize information to inform strategy development

  • Manage and regularly report on progress toward work plan milestones

  • Assist in the development of mid-year and year-end reports

  • Engage in peer-led discussions with student government, student sponsored organizations, and other student stakeholders

  • Research national best practices on religious, spiritual, secular, and interfaith engagement at peer institutions

  • Manage detailed work plans that integrate multiple project components

  • Support content curation for communications and outreach efforts

  • Develop and support a student advisory committee to inform interfaith engagement

  • Assist in convening a campuswide action group focused on religious inclusion

  • Collaborate with Student Life units to expand interfaith programs and offerings

Through their participation in this learning experience, this student will:

  • Gain project management and organizational leadership experience
  • Engage in institutional change management processes
  • Develop facilitation skills for interfaith and cross-cultural communication
  • Develop proficiency in understanding diversity of Jewish life on campus/antisemitism and its manifestations today to improve campus experiences

  • Must be enrolled as a current graduate student
  • Commitment to working closely with students and understanding the student development process
  • Appreciation for diverse populations and perspectives
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong ability to synthesize information and report across multiple data points
 
Hourly Rate $20.00/hour
