Job Description

About Us: Igneous Consulting (igneousconsulting.com) Our team works hard to secure funding for nonprofits organizations through grant writing. We are growing, and need to add an additional grant writer to our team to meet the demand for grant writing services.

Position Overview: As a grant writer at Igenous Consulting, you will play a crucial role in securing funding to support our clients’ missions and initiatives. While grant writing experience is not required, we are looking for an excellent technical writer with the ability to handle many details while crafting compelling written work. In this role, you will work remotely and independently, with direction and feedback on work from Igneous’ project managers and at times, directly from clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Grant Tracking

- Ensure online client grant trackers are constantly updated with information provided by Igneous Project Managers.

- Organize and create agendas to prepare Project Managers for meetings

- Manage submission timelines to meet deadlines

2. Grant Proposal & Report Development

- Collaborate with the team to understand project details and funding needs.

- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our objectives, strategies, and outcomes.

- Incorporate technical information accurately and effectively to demonstrate the project's strategy for implementation and impact of requested funding.

- Submit proposals into online portals as needed

- Assist in the preparation of reports for funders with information provided by organizations

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field recommended (English, Communications, Social Sciences, etc.). - Strong technical writing skills with exceptional attention to detail. - Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to manage workflow effectively, meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or other relevant software. - Previous grant writing experience is a plus but not required.
