Job Description

Seeking an undergraduate research assistant to analyze neuroanatomy data and to conduct mouse genotyping, mouse surgeries, and histological procedures. Required to handle mice, perform bench work in the lab, and generate and analyze anatomical data. 

Educational Value

The assistant will learn how to plan, conduct, analyze, and interpret anatomical experiments. The assistant will also learn about the organization and function of the central auditory system, as experiments will be aimed at mapping novel neural circuits in the auditory midbrain and thalamus.

Job Requirements

Willingness to work with lab animals. Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to document procedures and results in a laboratory notebook. Current or past classwork in neuroscience is preferred.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
