The Ginsberg Center is seeking a motivated graduate student to support the administration of the Center’s Community-Based Internship Fund. The fund connects U-M students with paid internship opportunities with local community organizations. About the Ginsberg Center We are a community and civic engagement center with a mission to cultivate and steward equitable partnerships between communities and the University of Michigan in order to advance social change for the public good. Based upon this mission, our vision is for inclusive democracy; thriving, diverse communities; and equity and social justice. About the Community-Based Internship Fund The Community-Based Internship Fund (CBI) supports community organizations working in southeast Michigan to fund undergraduate and graduate student internships. Interns can perform work across a range of pathways to civic engagement, including direct service, policy and governance, research, community organizing and activism, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship. These funds can be used to support 1-2 semester internship activities taking place through August 2025 and can be used to support both established interns/internships and new internship opportunities. Key Responsibilities Process, manage applications from community partners and coordinate communications including award decisions. Address community partner questions from the application process, student recruitment, and throughout the internship to ensure effective outcomes. Oversee communications with students throughout internships to address questions and concerns proactively. Administer program evaluation process to ensure student and community partner participation and contributing to summary of findings, with support from Ginsberg's Data & Evaluation Specialist
