Seeking a student for all semesters for a Laboratory Assistant position. This position entails basic tasks to provide essential support in a biology research lab, including but not limited to preparing stock solutions, media, and buffers; pouring agar plates; sterilizing glassware, pipetts and waste. The position involves 4 hours per week and can be arranged at a time that is convenient for the student, as long as it is done on a consistent schedule. As you gain independence, more hours may be possible depending on the student’s interest.

The position requires that you be responsible, self-motivated, and attentive to detail. You need to follow directions, keep accurate notes, and not be afraid to ask questions. We hope that you will work for multiple semesters (preferably including summers). Laboratory experience is preferred but not required - training will be provided.
