Job Description

The University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) and the Great Lakes I-Corps Hub are seeking a motivated and creative Research Assistant to join our team for the Winter 2026 semester. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and research translation across the Great Lakes region.

 

Funded by the National Science Foundation and housed within the Center for Entrepreneurship, the Great Lakes I-Corps Hub focuses on transforming university research into real-world impact. We are looking for a driven student to support research on AI education tools and assist in translating curriculum into engaging online learning formats.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate AI-based education tools and technologies

  • Assist in migrating educational materials from webinar formats to online-hosted content

  • Collaborate on the development of new AI-driven tools to enhance program offerings and participant learning experiences

  • Support the refinement and maintenance of the Hub’s digital platforms with a focus on usability and accessibility

  • Review online content to ensure compliance with digital accessibility standards

  • Research and help develop a government relations, communications and marketing plan for the I-Corps program

 

This position is primarily virtual, with limited in-person attendance required for select events throughout the year.

The NSF I-Corps Research Associate internship is a paid position. Hourly compensation will be commensurate with the student’s background and experience.

 
Job Requirements:
  • Sophomore standing or higher

  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills

  • Interest in AI, education, entrepreneurship, or innovation

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour to $20.00/hour
