Job Description

The Move Together Curriculum Instructional Aide will support the development, organization, and implementation of the Move Together Curriculum.

The ideal candidate will be able to engage in outreach to adaptive and inclusive sport and recreation organizations, gather stakeholder feedback, support course design, ensure digital accessibility, and facilitate the rollout of the curriculum to ensure that learners receive a high-quality online training experience prior to engaging in adaptive and inclusive movement programs. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Community Outreach & Partnership Development:

  • Identify community organizations engaged in adaptive and inclusive sports, recreation, and movement programs
  • Research local, state, and national organizations aligned with Move Together’s mission
  • Initiate and maintain communication with community partners including organizing meetings, feedback sessions, and partner consultations
  • Share drafted curriculum modules with partner organizations
  • Coordinate feedback collection from program leaders, staff, and stakeholders
  • Develop materials related to curriculum dissemination (emails, summaries, outreach documents)
  • Assist with coordinating the pilot rollout of the curriculum to partner organizations

Canvas Course Development & Design:

  • Build and organize 8-10 modular course units within Canvas 
  • Upload and format readings, videos, and multimedia content
  • Design and implement assignments, quizzes, discussion boards, and reflective activities
  • Organize and synthesize qualitative feedback for the Move Together Curriculum team
  • Assist with refining module structure, flow, and clarity based on feedback from faculty and partners 
  • Support revisions to ensure the curriculum is respectful, relevant, and feasible for community use
  • Ensure Canvas pages meet accessibility standards and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles
  • Support captioning, transcripts, alternative formats, and screen-reader compatibility 
  • Assist with accessibility audits and revisions based on pilot testing and evaluations 
  • Create plain language summaries and accessible navigation within the course
  • Maintain organized documentation of course materials and revisions
Educational Value

Training in instructional design, universal design for learning, digital accessibility.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 30 hours of college coursework

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience or interest in community engagement or outreach

Interest in accessibility, inclusive education, or disability studies

Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning 

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Comfort working with diverse community partners 

Hourly Rate $17.00/hour
Hours 15.0 to 20.0 hours per week
