Position OverviewThe Center for Health and Research Transformation (CHRT) is a nonprofit research and policy center affiliated with the University of Michigan. CHRT’s mission is to advance the health and well-being of people in Michigan through evidence-based, nonpartisan research, analysis, and collaboration. The Communications & Design Intern will support CHRT’s Communications Manager in sharing this work with the public, partners, and policymakers. This role is ideal for a student interested in design, digital communications, and public health, and who wants to build practical skills while helping make a real difference by translating research into clear, engaging communications. This is a part-time position (up to 20 hours per week) with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate visual content for communications materials, including: LinkedIn graphics and campaigns Flyers, one-pagers, and basic reports Event and project promotional materials
Support CHRT’s LinkedIn presence, including visual assets, post formatting, and content planning Assist with light writing and editing, such as social media copy or short website updates Provide general communications and administrative support, including maintaining content calendars and organizing design files
SupervisionThe intern will report to the Communications Manager and work closely with other CHRT staff as appropriate. |
