(This posting may close earlier if a high volume of applications is received) Application Link: https://myumi.ch/z9qbG Location: 317 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (75% in-person fellowship experience) Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr Job Duration: 15- 20 hours/week for the spring/summer semester, with the possibility of extending the fellowship Supervisor: Raven Lanier (cai-student-hiring@umich.edu) Who we’re looking for: The Center for Academic Innovation is looking for a well-rounded, driven, and creative fellow with an interest in exploring and learning about legal issues relevant to online education. This includes areas like copyright, accessibility, privacy, and artificial intelligence. Ideal candidates demonstrate an interest in these issues and a passion for online education and how it impacts higher education. What You’ll Do: Review course materials for potential copyright issues and document copyright information for any third party content Assist with the tool review process, which involves evaluating external service providers and their products, including applicable legal documentation Provide support for ongoing digital accessibility work to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA Work closely with the CAI Compliance and Policy Team to support a variety of distance education compliance research and consulting efforts for the benefit of CAI projects and those of academic units across the University Produce memoranda, policy briefs, and other deliverables detailing themes and findings based on research
