The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) is seeking a graduate student to support the data collection, management, analysis, and reporting for the NSF I-Corps Hub: Great Lakes Region. The projects require a student who can be resourceful to search for and compile data from multiple sources, such as academic, industry, and government sources, state and regional government, and databases. The NSF I-Corps Hub: Great Lakes Region aims to spur innovation, collaboration, and economic impact in the region. Supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, the Hub is a regional alliance of educational institutions and other partners that educate, support, and connect academic researchers to the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the region. Examples of projects in this role include: Collecting and organizing data on companies, funding, employment, and other impact metrics for past Midwest I-Corps teams and participants. Building and maintaining a comprehensive Hub company database, with processes for regular updates. Searching for patents, individual achievements, and stories to highlight NSF I-Corps success. Analyzing data to help prepare economic impact reports for stakeholders. Documenting individual and company milestones to tell the story of the Hub’s regional impact.
