Job Description

The Office of Public Affairs is looking for a student with a professional and can-do attitude to work part-time. As someone interested in public affairs and current events, you will assist with scanning local, regional, and national news outlets to identify and evaluate news about U-M and higher education. You will be responsible for gathering and preparing daily news clips for 8 a.m. daily distribution. Other responsibilities could include research, filing, data analysis, and tracking of media inquiries and university statements. Hybrid work available. 

Educational Value

Progressive responsibilities and writing assignments provide opportunities for professional growth and portfolio samples. 

Job Requirements
Office experience is desired. 
Students must be available Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working remotely, to have the news clips ready to send by 8 a.m. each day.
