The University of Michigan Council for Disability Concerns (CfDC) works towards creating a community that respects disability, honors individual needs, and makes everything accessible. The Cf DC was founded in 1983 by then University President Harold Shapiro, with the original charge to act in an advisory capacity regarding university programs and policies affecting people with disabilities. Today, the Council has over 300 members on its mailing list and includes U-M staff, faculty, students, and alums from all campuses, as well as community members from Southeastern Michigan. The Council meets monthly.
Job Description: The Cf DC is seeking a student with demonstrated experience or interest in disability inclusion and strong administrative support skills to assist with communications, record keeping, and other administrative tasks as needed, for the CfDC and its related subgroups and projects. This job will start as soon as possible and last through August 1, 2026, with the possibility for extension. Work will average 5 - 10 hours per week. Pay rate will be between $15.00-$16.00 per hour, depending on experience. Most work can be completed independently on a flexible schedule. Some required meetings will be scheduled during M-F 9-5 pm EST. |
