Working title - The Oka Tadoku Room Internship student at the Asia Library Intern student provides for one undergraduate or graduate student to spend the academic year (fall and winter semester) as a part-time Library employee promoting events in the Oka Tadoku Room. The responsibilities will include (a) promoting the Tadoku room through a variety of means; (b) developing ways to facilitate and increase student engagement with the room; and (c) executing additional ideas for Tadoku room-related activities that emerge as the intern, the library, and the Japanese Language Program work together. Internship scholarship $1,700 a semester (maxium) This position requires about 8 hours a week. The University recommends that students do not regularly work more than 29 hours per week while classes are in session. Students who hold more than one job, should not work more than 29 hours total per week.
