Job Description

Michigan Engineering is seeking a creative and motivated student graphic designer to join the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education (ADUE) web team. Working with unit clients and our student web developers, you'll create graphic content for websites, posters, presentations, and more. Our development team supports these program websites:  

Successful completion of summer graphic design work may lead to an opportunity to continue in the fall semester.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Proficient in graphic design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator  

  • Understanding of how graphic elements contribute to website layout, user experience, usability, and accessibility

  • Interest in working in a client focused environment and implementing client vision and feedback

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to collaborate effectively

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to review/revise designs for accuracy and quality

  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and capable of proactively managing multiple projects

  • Willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and design trend

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience in designing for web-based content

  • Experience communicating with clients and implementing feedback

  • Experience with Wordpress or other content management systems

  • Skills or coursework in UI/UX design

  • Effective organizational and project management skills; familiarity with tools like Trello or similar platforms

  • Familiarity or experience working in an Agile development environment

Hourly Rate $18.00/hour
Hours 5.0 to 10.0 hours per week
