Job Description
  • Assist the orientation team with setting up events including setting up tables, tents, chairs and other event supplies prior to the beginning of events.

  • Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of each orientation event. 

  • Place orientation related signage in designated areas, as well as support directions and wayfinding for program attendees.   

  • Managing the return of all materials to the ONSP office at the conclusion of the day. 

  • Assist in the preparation of print materials and promotional items for participant distribution, including packing bags. 

  • Assist in ensuring that all rooms are unlocked and technology is ready for use in each programming space. 

  • Aid late arriving program participants in navigating to the proper program location. 

Educational Value
  • Gain hands-on experience setting up, coordinating, and breaking down large-scale orientation events.
  • Work closely with staff and peers to support smooth program operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop the ability to quickly address logistical issues and assist participants during live events.
  • Support behind-the-scenes planning through preparing materials, packing participant bags, and managing supplies.
  • Assist orientation attendees with directions and navigation while providing helpful, professional support.
Job Requirements
  • Must be an undergraduate student 

  • Must be available to work in-person during orientation programs

  • Ability to work on a team 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle (have a legal drivers license expiring after 09/26)

  • Must be able to attend training sessions on the following dates: 

    • June 15-19, June 22-27

Must be able to work orientation days: 

  • July 6-7, July 9-11, July 13-14, July 20-21, July 23-24, July 27-28, July 30-August 1, August 3-4, August 6-7, August 25-29
