Job Title: Temporary Event Assistant – IWG Islamophobia Working Group Conference Duration: Approximately 2 weeks (including pre-event planning and the days of the conference: April 3–4) Hours: ~1–2 hours per day (pre-event planning), full-day support during the conference Location: Primarily in-person at the venue; some pre-event planning may be done remotely via Zoom/phone Position Overview: The IWG Islamophobia Working Group (IWG) is seeking a temporary Event Assistant to support the team in organizing and executing the upcoming conference on April 3–4. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone enthusiastic about event coordination and willing to assist with a wide range of tasks before and during the event. Key Responsibilities: Help plan and organize the conference, including coordinating logistics and schedules. Support setup and check-in at the venue, including AV, lighting, and conference materials such as badges, posters, banners, and table displays. Assist with catering and meal arrangements during the event Welcome and assist participants, speakers, and guests, creating a friendly and professional environment
Reporting: The Event Assistant will report directly to the IWG team. Coordination with the graduate associate will occur as part of the event planning and execution process. |
