Job Description

The research assistant will support the faculty member with conducting an analysis that examines differences in care quality performance among cancer providers across quality measures that have positive versus negative impacts on the provider’s revenue generation. The research assistant will be responsible for all coding for data management, study sample construction, and statistical modeling. The research assistant will also advise study team on the appropriateness of modeling techniques and parametrizations for inference.

Educational Value

The research assistant will gain valuable experience with the research process, including experience with making appropriate analysis decisions for achieving robust inference. The research assistant will also gain experience with applying hierarchical linear modeling to answer a research question. The research assistant will also gain valuable experience in team-based research.

Job Requirements

The research assistant is required to be proficient at coding in R or SAS. The research assistant must have experience running hierarchical linear models (in either the academic or research setting) and be familiar with different model specifications and their implications and appropriateness for different data situations.

Hourly Rate $21.00/hour to $24.00/hour
