Position Summary The Seo Lab seeks a hands-on Research Assistant II to support mouse genetics and molecular biology studies in nutrition and metabolism. This role is on-site and involves substantial mouse work and core bench techniques. Key Responsibilities • Mouse work: routine handling, genotyping (ear/tail snips), dissections, colony maintenance, and basic husbandry (e.g., cage changes, IDs, supply requests) in a PI-managed satellite space. • Molecular biology: qPCR and Western blot sample prep and runs. • Experimental support: Follow experimental protocols to design and execute experiments with PI/supervisor; maintain detailed electronic lab notebooks and organize data. • Lab operations: monitor and restock supplies, maintain shared equipment, uphold EH&S/IACUC compliance and lab cleanliness. • Teamwork & communication: coordinate schedules for animal procedures; participate in brief check-ins and report progress.
