Job Description

Hiring Research Assistants for Large-Scale Data Downloading/Web Scraping

Michigan Ross Professors Jun Li and Samantha Keppler are hiring multiple RAs for help downloading/web scraping data for up to 10/hours per week. Pay commensurate with degree level ($20/hour for Bachelor's, $22/hour for Master's, and $39.71 for PhD). Approximate time period is May through August 2026, contingent on performance. Remote ok.
Educational Value

There are 3 primary sources of educational value: (1) increasing technical coding capabilities for the purposes of data collection, analysis, and eventual human subjects research, (2) feedback and interaction with lead Michigan Ross researchers studying educational efficiency and operations, (3) development of communication skills and documentation relevant for large-scale data analysis
Job Requirements
Required Skills: Experience with Python and managing large data files
 
Desired Skills, but not necessary if students are willing to learn quickly: Experience with web scraping and/or automating browser interactions and bulk-download workflows.
Hourly Rate $20.00/hour to $37.50/hour
Hours 5.0 to 10.0 hours per week
