As home to the largest and most prestigious collection of ancient manuscripts in the Americas, the Papyrology Collection is committed to preserving and making accessible its holdings to an ever larger public. We are seeking the assistance of two undergraduate students in summer 2026. They will assist the curator and a graduate student in the inventorying, measuring, and describing of papyrus fragments that recently received conservation treatment. Students will also help with other tasks: shelf reading/inventorying of books in the papyrology reference collection, shelf reading/inventorying of papyrus frames in the Papyrology vault, sorting and describing of archival materials documenting the history of the collection, and more.
