The Department of Radiation Oncology is hiring an Administrative/Research Assistant (10-20 hours per week) to provide research related support to a subset of our clinical research faculty physicians in addition to the provision of primary administrative support for our RadOnc residents. This is a unique opportunity to receive mentorship from faculty on the cutting edge of radiation oncology, work closely with research teams to produce world-class clinical research, and gain insight into academic medicine. The Administrative/Research Assistant will perform administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical data and/or the coordination of clinical studies. General administrative support for the assigned faculty and residents, including managing calendars and scheduling meetings, completing expense reports, assisting with medical curriculum vitaes, and other duties will be assigned by direct supervision. The Administrative/Research Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a senior administrative assistant with functional supervision from faculty. Duties include: - Work collaboratively with faculty PI and their research team to accomplish objectives set by the team.
- Collaborate with research leaders to forward clinical trial engagement and enrollment throughout our community practice network.
- Assist in the preparation and publication of research abstracts and manuscripts by working with biostatisticians, residents, and faculty to analyze completed data and write up research findings.
- May work closely with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinators on prospective trials.
- Provide general administrative support for department residents and assigned faculty as needed and assigned by the senior administrative assistant supervising this role.
