The Preschool Teacher’s Aide Position Community Day Care (CDC) has two preschools (CDC House and CDC Forest), two before- and after-school programs (Burns Park Elementary and Lawton Elementary) and a school-age summer camp. Together as a team we strive to live out our mission to educate, guide, and nurture each child while supporting families and creating community. CDC Forest has a need for a part-time Teacher’s Aide (4001 Ann Arbor Saline Rd). It is a Monday-Friday afternoon position, 11:30am-3:30pm. Pay: $15.25-$16.00/hour depending on experience and qualifications The Preschool Teacher’s Aide Position The Preschool Teacher’s Aide is responsible for the care of preschoolers, ages 2.5-5 years. The program values an environment where children can explore and expand their developmental knowledge by directing their own play. This position will be responsible for observing the development and progress of children, implementing instructional methods, utilizing materials and techniques that are developmentally appropriate practices for children, and communicating with families. The Preschool Teacher’s Aide will provide support to the preschool program in various ways, including: - Assisting at rest time
- Implementing plans created by teachers
- Follow High Scope daily routine and curriculum
- Performing daily job tasks including, but not limited to, preparing snack, prepping lesson materials, cleaning jobs
- Diapering
- Assisting with snow gear
The Preschool Teacher’s Aide Position will report to the Pre-School Teacher and Director and will require communication to various team members and departments. |
