Job Description |
This position is located in Wolverine Wellness. Wolverine Wellness works across campus to improve student health and well-being, helping students navigate the ups and downs of life, make thoughtful choices that reduce harm, and find meaning and purpose during their time on campus. Responsibilities may include: Represent Wolverine Wellness at campus outreach events, such as tablings, by engaging students, sharing resources, and promoting well-being services and programs. Facilitate wellness trainings, workshops, tablings, and other forms of outreach on college health topics such as holistic well-being, substance use prevention and harm reduction, sexual health, sleep, mindfulness, identity, etc. Contribute to social media and web content focused on student well-being topics (e.g., participate in videos, draft captions and language for content, recommend approaches, and support other communication efforts.) Participate in campus and community partnerships, meetings, and collaborative initiatives. Assist with assessment efforts, including survey administration and evaluation of student learning and outcomes. Conduct benchmarking and literature reviews on well-being, prevention, and harm reduction, with an emphasis on emerging trends and evidence-informed practices. Advise student organizations and support focus groups as well as other initiatives that collect and inform student feedback. Maintain program request databases and ensure timely communication and follow-up. Support student well-being initiatives. Provide administrative and front desk support as needed. Participate in Wolverine Wellness trainings, professional development opportunities, as well as trainings on emerging well-being issues and best practices.

Job Requirements |
Currently enrolled as a U-M undergraduate or graduate student Interest in student well-being Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Comfortable with public speaking, student engagement, and facilitating discussions around potentially sensitive well-being topics; content training provided Ability to work independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing needs and priorities Availability to support daytime and evening programming and events Willingness to step outside of comfort zones, try new approaches, take risks, and learn through mistakes and growth
