Job Description

The Student Socials Intern will provide content support for programs and events offered on the Ann Arbor campus as identified by Campus Information Centers (CIC) and socials posting on Instagram for the unit and affiliated programs.Content creators work directly with Big 10 social media accounts and with the U-M Ann Arbor campus events website. The Student Socials Content Creator/Photographer will be responsible for: 

  • Capturing photos and videos at various scheduled events and capturing organic content throughout the spring/summer term

  • Creating engaging social media content, including graphics for various platforms

  • Collaborating with CIC marketing staff to create and execute content for social media

  • Writing content including alt text (accessibility language) and blog-style content

  • Attending weekly check-in meetings with supervisor and receiving ongoing training and executing other collaborative duties as assigned

Job Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse audiences

  • Experience with social media platforms

  • Experience with photography/videography

  • Interest in marketing, communications, and/or media career path preferred
